The Economy
  • We must work hard to keep jobs local by mandating that state and local contracts go to those who actually live and work in our own community.
Property Tax
  • I support more stringent limits on the amount of ad valorem taxes that may be collected by counties, school districts, municipalities and special districts from any parcel of real property.

  • As our property values depreciate, our property taxes should follow.
Crime Prevention
  • I believe we must adequately fund our local police and firefighters and work together to continue programs that keep our youth off the streets and involved in programs where they will receive the necessary direction to help them make better life choices.

  • It is our job to protect those who cannot protect themselves. I support legislation that places stricter penalties on criminals who harm our seniors and children.
Public Education
  • As a father of two daughters, I recognize the importance of ensuring that all students receive a quality education. We must fight for music and art programs that have been under attack the last several years and fight to pay our educators appropriately.

  • We must work hard to empower and educate parents that the job of educating our children is not the school systems alone. Parents must take responsibility and an active role in the education of their children. We have to do a better job at getting them involved.
Healthcare
  • We must address the inefficiencies of our current healthcare system and as State Representative, I would work to foster communication between providers and patients in an effort to improve care and eliminate unnecessary costs.
